Brooklyn, NY based Lights Up! has been designing affordable, functional lighting since 1987. Their home is in a 50 year old lampshade factory, that have been collaborating with for many years. Known for their shades being made from a recycled plastic bottle material, the patterns are colorful + upbeat.
I was fortunate to be included in the group of Blogger's that reported on the day.
If you frequent the building as much as I do, the buzz was contagious. The showrooms were filled with lots of people, food + excitement.

All is well when we see buyers from all over the map, globe-trotting around the city, still with their corporate buying jobs. All doing what we love to do: spot trends + shop, shop, shop.
Our ultimate goal is to create an individual "Home" that is a pleasing, peaceful place to be. After all... living well is ultimately the best revenge.
