When your purchase products on-line from a company, you really don't get to know - the company. 

I have been purchasing from Lamps Plus for years.

Did I know they had retail stores up + down the West Coast?  No.
Did I know they had a dedicated buying + management staff behind the scenes? Not really.

After a yummy breakfast, the #BlogTourLA group got a guided walk-thru their LA location.  All the higher-ups where there, including the owner.  Pretty awesome.  With open ears on both sides we learned of new capabilities to a match-your-paint-color, table + floor lamp program.  To customize further, they stock more interesting patterned lamp shades than I've seen anywhere. They also have bespoke-like collections of beautifully detailed lamps + chandeliers fit for even my pickiest clients.  The site, as good as it is, doesn't do justice showing the firms deep inventory + commitment to design.  In fact, a new division for home furnishings called 55 Downing Street is like One Kings Lane or Horchow, offering furnishings other than lighting, for every corner of the home. 

I entered thinking I knew the company well; I left knowing the company knows me well.
