Grand Hotel Budapest + Fading Gigolo
Campy, clever + tongue-in-cheek funny these 2 films are related in story line + both are visually spot-on.

Known from my 5 year gig on Home + Garden Television, HGTV, I live + work in New York City designing beautifully comfortable homes.
Exposed to the high + low as seen through the eyes of my Clients + Vendors, I'm extremely fortunate to be invited into their private spaces. Constantly reminded of how our surroundings are so uniquely personal + affect us so profoundly, fuels the passion for my creativity. Living with style can be easily attained with the guidance of a trained eye + resourceful approachable Designer.
As a boutique firm, we are available to work with you one-on-one either in person or remotely via the phone/web. I offer many levels of interior design, renovation, project management, purchasing + consultation services. Please visit my firm's website for a formal introduction.

High Point North Carolina was a-buzz with the Fall 2013 Furniture Market. The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can’t find it in High Point…it probably doesn’t exist.
I have been so fortunate to be invited to join Veronika Miller aka #Modenus on one of her signature design weeks, this time #BlogTourLA. Overwhelmed not only the fellow designers sharing this experience but by the venues, meetings, presentations, outings + all things "design" that I've been exposed to, here in LA.
This is just an interim post but my mind is so full with gr8 adventures to share that I had to put it down here, now. When I return to my desk look for more posts, pictures + celeb buzz.
Backwards from yesterday, here were some events I wanted to share:
Lamps Plus: If you are a client, you know I often time use this vendor as my go-to easy-to-work with lighting resource of choice. I didn't know that actually have many brick + mortor retail locations on the West Coast. From meeting the companies President to learning of new designer friendly options, it was a lovely morning.
West Edge Design Fair: From all my years involvement with the Architectural Design Show, I've known Troy Hanson + Megan Riley. They don't disappoint with their own new West Coast venue.
Poggenpohl, Blanco, Gaggenau: European perfection for new look of streamlined kitchens, we learned of the latest technologies that make cooking fun + ergonomic (short of hiring a personal chef).
Kelly Wearstler: A exclusive visit to her office, where all the magic happens. More on this to come but needless-to-say it was one of those inspirational times I won't ever forget.
Mansour Rugs: Having been familiar with the brand, it completed the package to visit their flagship location.
Walker Zanager: A go-to resource for my projects, it was again inspiring to see this location. Lots of previews of never seen before product, to come.
Melrose Ave tour with Christian May of masion21 and Jill Seidner of her namesake firm as the guides. R + R stops in Mecox LA and Dragonette to recharge with pretty food, colorful drink + beautiful design.
Oh boy. Not over my jet lag but over my head cold, this was just a quick agenda of the days past.

Enjoy. I'd be back in NY ready to work on Monday :)

Enamoured with the opulence of the architecture, decor + products found at Alfred Dunhill, I am writing my second post for this uber quality bespoke brand.
Visiting religious architecture seems fitting for the first of December.
All are grand examples of overwhelming structures, lavishly executed with layers of ornamentation.
I honestly think I'm just in the mood for a holiday vacation in Rome.
Have I sinned?
Where's that passport
I was graciously invited by Robert Allen Design to join a handful of design Bloggers on a road trip to Brimfield, MA.
Having been there before, I knew exactly what to expect. Miles of vendors selling everything you could possibly imagine. Antique shopping is a uniquely "green" way to decorate as the concept of re-using + re-purposing items is environmentally friendly. Finding that exact "perfect" item on your shopping list is the feeling of accomplishment that fuels "the hunt".
King Cole Bar Lounge St. Regis Hotel Famous for more than the Maxfield Parrish Mural.
With a Bloody Mary being the signature cocktail, what could be better?
