Countless times this holiday season I have seen stunning displays of colour, in unexpected places. Pretty hues lift my spirits + are confident statements of design.
Black, Blue, Colors, Dining Rooms, Green, Living Rooms, Paint Colors, Pink, Purple, Yellow Garnet is the official birthstone for January, as adopted by the American National Association of Jewelers in 1912.
It's also a stunning color for decorating.

In retail, the concept of the January White Sale started in 1878, when Philadelphia's John Wanamaker wanted to create excitement in-store during a traditionally slow retail period. Bed linens + towels were only available in the color white - thus the name.
