Gail Rothwell - East Hampton
Seven years ago when a new boutique opened on Newtown Lane, I was very excited. It was the type of environment I loved as the first part of my career was designing high end retail boutiques. One of the first stores I designed was just a few steps across the street, Erik Stewart, where the Tory Burch store is now. This is probably where the instant spark of kinship with Gail Rothwell's shop, began.
In her former life, Gail ran many divisions of 9 West Shoes with her last title being "President of 9 West Wholesale". When she moved to her Bridgehampton home year-round, she also decided to build a beautiful clothing boutique stocked with the most recognizable names in European sportswear. Gail gets retail.

Aside from the glorious clothing + special wearable finds, Gail also collects colorful Murano glass vases + compote dishes. The translucent colors the glass pieces perfectly complement the understated elegant clothing collections. The vases are so pretty, but they're not for sale!

Gail has built her namesake brand working with niche clients who have classic streak that is infused with a great sense of style. An update of a few pieces layered into an exhisting wardrobe, carries forward effortlessly from season to season. I belive that true for interiors of homes as well.
A little new - goes a long way.
With a refreshing brisk chill in the air, I feel like shopping.
